New York Gilbert & Sullivan Players is a professional repertory company giving vitality to the living legacy of Gilbert & Sullivan through performance and education.

I’ve had the pleasure of working on NYGASP’s campaigns for over ten years, including print design (brochures, posters, flyers), digital advertising (Google web banners, New York Times Flex campaigns, YouTube ads, email blasts), organic social content, and television commercials (TVC).

Most recently, we collaborated with the client on developing a new visual identity for their 50th Anniversary season assets. The goal was to create something fresh and modern while also celebrating NYGASP’s longevity and reputation as America’s preeminent professional Gilbert & Sullivan repertory ensemble.

The Concept

As previously mentioned, we wanted to bring a fresh look to the brochure while celebrating NYGASP’s history. We designed visuals inspired by Hollywood Squares, using bright color blocks with headshots of actors spanning the company’s history. We developed this concept for their season brochure, and expanded it across digital and social platforms.
