My Brand Design Process
In my opinion, transparency is the most important part of a client-designer relationship. You should know exactly what to expect every step from hi to bye. Below is a detailed outline of what you can expect when working with me, from timelines and deliverables to my creative process.
1. DISCOVERY CALL
After we’ve made our initial connection, we’ll set up a quick discovery call. This is an opportunity for me to learn about you and figure out the best way for me to help.
2. PROPOSAL
After our initial call, I’ll curate a proposal specific to your needs that outlines all of the project details—scope of work, deliverables, timeline, budget, etc.
3. SIGN OFF
As long as everything looks good, we’ll put pen to paper and get to work! Once the contract is signed and 50% deposit is paid, we’ll get cooking.
4. QUESTIONNAIRE
As a first step, I’ll send over a series of questions to help me get a better idea of you and your business. We’ll then meet to discuss your answers in detail.
5. EARLY DESIGN
This is where things really get exciting! I’ll begin the design process with a series of initial exercises—word mapping, rough sketches, and a mood board.
6. REFINING
We’ll nail down a direction and I’ll start fleshing out a comprehensive visual identity system, including a logo suite, color palette, and mockups to provide context.
7. PRESENTATION
We’ll schedule another call where I’ll present the finished concept to you, detailing my design decisions and presenting mockups to show you the brand in action.
8. FEEDBACK
You’ll take the time you need to review the presentation and provide feedback. I’ll finish up any necessary edits, and once approved, we’ll work on wrapping up.
9. HANDOVER
After you’ve completed the remaining 50% of the payment, I’ll send you a folder with all of the final design assets and a detailed outline of what’s included.
