Smart Start Digital is a digital marketing agency that helps small businesses and entrepreneurs grow their presence online and generate more leads. They specialize in everything from paid ads and SEO to websites and consulting—all tailored to move the needle for service-based businesses.
Andrew came to me in need of a brand identity and website for his digital marketing business. We wanted to create something clean and modern, giving a nod to the digital side of the business, but also something approachable to smaller businesses.
The Concept
I decided to use the business initials to create a monogram. The letters S-S-D come together to make the logo feel like one cohesive mark instead of three separate letters. The way the lines curve together and have the same distance between them creates a sense of digital connection and cohesion. The rounded shapes and end points of the letters give the logo that approachable feeling we were looking for.

Rounded edges make the logo feel more approachable and less pretentious.
The Logotype
The wordmark uses a bold typeface with slightly rounded edges to continue the modern theme with hints of approachability. The colors mimic the colors used in the logo mark, connecting the individual shapes in the logo to each letter.
Brand Pattern
The brand pattern was created for use on various branded materials like social media posts, the website, and print collateral. It uses the logo mark in a rhythmic, repeating pattern, further expanding upon the feeling of connection.
